Limited to a financial jounalist's view extension on the overall business
analysis dimensions, eg. in the wise of industry VC and economic model, corporate planning and operation, strategic visioning and management. the inbalanced development, resource and info distribution disparity between company and custmer/user in the different industry chain, etc. To give an more external foreseeing comment, thinking he could smartly quote any case in any period to support his own point, making sense it based on the specific context with precondition provided, rather than prudently satirize about or denate the necessity and rationality of existing format of innovation approach and that being comprehensively applied,
without any proven reliable data or research findings showcased.
Not mention to he didn' t clearly recognize that the complexity of corporate innvation development pipeline just as the scientific calculation of resouce allocation and utilizaiton and guraentee condition for a optimized output to win from a competitive market system. The new innovation trend only making sense in the context of corporate innovation development system advance.

Just ramblling too far away...hope to have more different voice to seek more breakthrough on the topic of innovation.

Hello, everyone, good to know all of you from here, being a first time to post on this site, with more interest to get more opinion exchange starting on this speech vedio:

From my persoal view firstly his speech is quite lively, and can be regared as very foreseeing in the light of he raising this viewpoint about 3 years ahead.

And partly agreed that it revealed some incentive and source to a radical innovation generated in a common sense, given a business stereotype in most of the consumer industries or info unit standardized business industries with emphasizing in user/clients experience value creation, then yes, customer rightly being defined as one type of the innovation drivers for the business innovation in those industries. And "collabrative,interactive,cumulative, value resource open to a leverage of user creativity " can be seen as the trend introduced into a mechanism of business innovation development, plus in terms of 2.0 value platform created nowadays which might bring company with a disruptive productivity and capacity development generated from their target customer for their business innovation.

Also felt right about the organizational issues he pointed out that quite blocked big company in a innovation assessment methdology and their own creativity development.(Note:though by my physcial experience a consumer marketer's understanding,creativity development never can be running without consideration of interaction to consumer, but relatively ignoring in leveraging consumer or user's design capability into,thinking less to attract consumer intelligence develpment on idea generation). A personal view that unresponsive big multinational company should have a essentially organizaitonal model innovated in cooperate with this new innovation mechanism. In the considertaion of combining with the consumer/user prodctivity development, the methodology of organization building might seemed to be focused more on the evaluation on efficiency and effectiveness versus capacity consistency and sustainable capability development in business process and system standard.

But don't quite agree on his opinion in organization capability would lose the contribution to a radical innovation, if talking about in business background.A Big organization may be not able to demonstrate on a aboslute superiority of scientific and technology patent, but as a industrial leader they having experience and capapbility efficiently allocating the info and resource, more capablely to convert patent into a massive applicable innovation delivery or product to market, and that could reflecting the common value perception of consumer and market, so as to enable a proof for a radical innovation format. This is obvious just look at why in the past mankind's invention never started to boost on a productivity development and value creation like as huge as nowadays, till the modern enterprise system established. Why in those industries like: music , artistic, cultural less and less so-called radical or disruptive creation that can play a big impact on spiritual life and humanitirian development. 'coz they 're too much user or individual design and creativity ppreference driven.pushing diversity development too far without a rationalization, selection, optimization process,and lack of sysmatical and standard upgrade. Even though the seed of innovation once sprout for a moment, but quickly being flooded before it got chance to grow stronger. for which i just wished he could have been more sacarstic about the rap thing... :)purely a personal music taste preference driven though, hehe:)
